Once the SEC formally recognized Social Media as a valid outlet for publicly traded companies to disseminate information (in conjunction with PRs and Filings), then the game changed a bit for sites like Twitter, Facebook, IHUB etc...It pays off having informed shareholders involvled in the Social Media discussion to maintain some semblance of truth to the conversation.
