I used to be an alcohol and drug abuser.  Free since Jan 1977.  I don't agree with legalization, however, I also didn't agree with the outrageous jail sentences people were getting for, many times, a small amount of drugs. We have the highest incarceration rate in the world per 100,000 people. We live in a very harsh world where many people look for escape from their problems and I, for one, believe there should be a better way to deal with the drug problem than locking a person away for 20 or more years. Better to lite a candle than curse the darkness.-From a person with many problems and, with help from a compassionate person, found help.  Helen Keller.  My best to all,  Jim
