$HALB – Let me give it to you from a pilot perspective. These pesky little critters are going to put me out of a job. I firmly believe that I am a dying breed. This is small stuff we are talking about here. In the not so distant future you will be riding coast to coast with nobody up front. All the operators, say that because you really can’t call them pilots, will be centrally located. We currently do it now while controlling UAV’s a half a globe away and have been for almost 10 years on the small scale. The companies that get their feet well planted in this industry will either corner the market or be the targets of massive buyouts.
Now all that being said I will make my point by the fact we do have trains running in countries that have no engineers up front. They do have someone setting there but they have absolutely no control over the train. If they are doing that with trains then why not with aircraft? I see this as an industry that is still in its infancy stages. The limits of the UAV market are only bound by the minds that are making them. I think they are looking down the road farther than you realize. If an old country bumpkin like me can have vision enough to think of it wouldn’t they have already? Getting the big picture?
This is a huge business now with over 10 billion in revenues. Wait and see what the future brings. I think I want a piece of the action now while the getting is good. This might be better than the next Wal-Mart or Microsoft.
