Guts - I actually agree with Linda, e.g., that any reference to bashers or pumpers is off limits per the TOS. People must learn to focus on the investment and not the bashers. I say this, but I have also fallen into this trap many times. I am always testing the boundaries of the TOS, but anything that I post the even resembles an attack on the Pete, repeat, and the rest of the choir boys is deleted. I am just about finished with iHub. Here is a note that I sent to Linda just now.
Linda - I am writing you regarding the patent unfairness that is occurring on the SCRC message board between the stock bashers and the retail investors who have invested their hard-earned money in this company. Flyers, Coolerheads, BioPete, Snizzle, Malc Stone, and their followers are on a mission to delete good posts, while convincing you or others in control of this board to keep or reinstate their abusive and inflammatory posts. They undoubtedly intended to spread fear and defame many of the individuals to whom they have compared to the likeness of Hitler and other evil persons. How this is not considered a "personal" attack is beyond me. They use the term "pumpers" continuously. Simply pasting text from a financial report multiple times should not give them freedom to tag on their opinions that posters are pumping up the stock and dumping their shares. Pasting the same section from a financial report, under the TOS, does not give these bashers the freedom to defame the names of good people and accuse them of securities fraud.
They make the same extremely negative arguments over and over again on a daily basis. They are highly skilled at preparing negative impressions. And the SCRC board is not the only board where they do this, check out their posts on other boards. Indeed, on the Stocks Ethics & Philosophy Board 101 (an interesting name for a forum for these individuals), you can see where Coolerheads brags to Malc Stone and Flyers about his swing trading of SCRC, which he believes is made possible by his continuous bashing. Enough already. I have watched this unbalance continue without saying a word, but it has gone too far. And please do not get me wrong, I sincerely believe the message board requires a healthy debate on all of the good and bad elements of the on-topic investment. But these posters have taken their negativity to a level that far exceeds the TOS and the purpose of these message boards. Indeed, I left the Yahoo Message Board earlier this year for this board because iHub was represented to be a good forum to share ideas and to discuss the pros and cons of various investment opportunities - a forum that was backed up by a TOS that was actually enforced. What I see on the SCRC board now, however, is a board that has reached such a level that is almost equal to the YMB. All I ask is for a balanced application and enforcement of the TOS, and that you issue a warning to the bashers that I identified above to stay within the rules or be banned from this message board just as you have banned others.
