Our Operations > The Process
The MineralRite facility will recover gold (and silver) utilizing MineralRite's special technology from loaded activated carbon, which allows absorption of hundreds of ounces of gold per ton of impregnated carbon. In exchange for services, MineralRite will receive a percentage of the precious metals recovered rather than a simple technology licensing fee. The carbon will be reactivated and returned to the mining companies for re-utilization, thus protecting the environment and reducing basic fixed product costs for these mining companies. The company's proprietary technologies related to the mineral extraction allows MRG to recover up to 20% more precious metals and rare earth oxides than the traditional "Carbon Stripping" process.
This proprietary technology draws upon the consolidation of significant individual expertise in the areas of process development, commercialization, specific hydrometallurgical and chemical backgrounds, and existing support facilities to allow for the initiation of this type of focused project. This technology was developed to allow for a relatively straightforward approach to the stripping of the contained metals from the various feed substrates.
It is considered likely that a range of potentially proprietary (patentable) technology will be developed as a result of this process. The company will proceed with proprietary protection and a near-term/long-term patent strategy. Part of the mission of this venture is to market and scale these technologies as real world mining ventures.
The company will provide financing for the capital-intensive equipment expenses needed to develop these ventures at scale, and help to prove the project's financial feasibility. MRG sees these capital purchases as additional fixed assets for the benefit and value of its shareholders.
An overall processing concept is used, allowing an economic approach to recovery and production of precious metals from Hard rock ores, concentrated placer material and fine golds using environmentally friendly Hyperchlorides.
