When I was in Fiji an Australian man told me it was ok to drink the water from the spring. He refused to drink the water but had no problem telling everyone else he was sure it was fine. The next day myself and 2 others each came down with nasty stomach viruses which sidelined us from 2 days worth of activities. When we finally made it back to our rooms from the hospital all our bags had been ransacked and the man who advised us to drink the water was no longer staying there. Funny how that works.
