Democrat in Texas! OUCH. Must be Austin?

the republicans are a one trick pony. They yell about the debt number and free markets (an illusion) and big bad government and tell people that corporations should run the country because they make a few people at the top super rich. The problem with this is were now in a situation where the top one percent controls so much of the wealth (and pays record low taxes) that a huge sum of money just sits there idle when itcould be moving through the real economy triggering the all important money multiplier....thats why you DONT cancel unemployment benefits or cut spending with high unemployment because that money generates more revenue for taxes and business than the program itself, because the money gets deployed right away...not to mention its the morally strong move.

With one job for every 3.5 people, and jobs that pay much less now for the same work (wage growth has been FLAT for thirty years in the PRIVATE sector.....wages grew in tandem with GDP growth right up until Reagans union busting began) while costs of everything have gone up (health care has gone up 15percent annually for decades but people STILL didnt want the governent to step in, how suicidal is that to debt when youhave an industry that is four times faster than inflation...see college tuition next.
And health care has goneup four percent the last two years only on average)...

We just dont have the spending power we need. Our economy is 70 percent consumer driven, and home values have tanked, the coping mechanism of credit cards stung others, and wages have been flat, or jobs replaced by computers or shipped overseas. And the Republican plan is to give the people who dont need it another tax cut in the hopes itll trickle down to Main Street. Sorry, but im for the team that wants to put people back to work rebuilding oyr broken infrastructure...the average bridge life is 50years and were at 49. NOT GOOD. I want billions of dollars in tax giveaways to oil companies to be reinvested in the next wave of energy, CLEAN energy. This fossil fuel nonsense has got to stop. We are KILLING the only planet we have, and nit being overdramatic either as you know.

The list goes on and on. When you come down to eye level and go throu the issues one by one it is totally obvious who wants to move forward.
