JBparker... The EzVip show is no big deal at all. Its one
JBparker... The EzVip show is no big deal at all. Its one of 21 shows we are producing.
The new show is better then the one in Miami. We lost no relationships with anyone except Al, who dropped the ball and caused the filming to stop.
We fully planned to go ahead with the show. We had the entire team in place to begin. It was Al's job to get us the film releases for his staff, the celebrities and the locations. Without locations, celebrities and staff we would have nobody to film and no place to film. We gave him every opportunity to come through and he never did. He never even sent us his own release. So basically we could not even film him or any of his staff.
Al cause the show to be shut down. Rather then just lose the money we had put into building a crew we found a better location and subject for a night life show. When we did the move, our product placement sponsors jumped through the roof. Because of all the celebrities in LA, they where willing to pay much more to be in the show.
We planned on not airing the laundry of the issue with Al, but now with all the lies on the boards about how he jumped ship for a better deal or he dumped us. I want to clear the air. We as a team could not shoot the show with Al because he did not do what he was suppose to do under his agreement with us. Again, we gave him every opportunity to deliver and he never did. In the end we have ended up with a much better show. We will talk more about this show in the near future.
BTW... most of the cities we have affiliates in our must carry for our signal so people can watch us on antenna, cable and satellite.
I saw a surprisingly correct post which was forwarded to me from the lie-hub board which I have copied below....
The deal with VIP went away because it was Al's responsibility to have locations and talent lined up to be able to shoot. After all, it was a reality show about VIP, so it would make sense that they would have the talent and locations.
After it was determined that VIP did not have talent or guests lined up or even locations to be able to shoot, it was determined that the production would not be able to take place until a much later date when it was all in place.
That is why they canned it. That is also why they nailed down Uncommon Denominator since it was further along in being able to move along with production.
The announcement about VIP was made back when the party with VIP was supposed to happen and VIP did not have guests/talent or celebrities signed up to be able to even announce who they would be having on the show.
That was all supposed to be VIP's responsibility.
If you had your own reality show, it would make sense you would have the relationships to have on the show, not some unknown guest that someone else landed for you.
