SAN DIEGO, Dec. 19, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH) announced that it has promoted Debi Heck to senior vice president, Innovation Solutions.
In this newly created role, Heck will lead an Innovation Solutions team to further enhance ASH's best-in-class health services capabilities. Heck will guide the strategic development of products and services, including member websites and the integration of related programs and services.

Heck previously served as ASH's vice president of program solutions for its wellness subsidiary, Healthyroads. She brings more than 20 years of health care industry experience, focused entirely on health management, wellness and prevention services. She began her career at HealthFirst in Indianapolis, Ind., as a biometric screening coordinator and has served in leadership positions in organizations such as Staywell, Interfit Health and Health Media. While working for Matria Healthcare (now Alere), she was instrumental in the sales and implementation phases for national wellness clients, developing their long-term health management strategy. Prior to joining ASH, Heck served as an assistant vice president for Aon Consulting's Health and Benefits Practice and was the company's National Wellness Practice lead.
Heck holds a bachelor's degree in community health education from the University of Northern Iowa and a master's degree in wellness management from Ball State University in Indiana.
