no 100/13 Review of risk parameters for German Electricity Contracts and German EPADs

Oslo, 2013-12-16 14:11 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

Risk parameters for German Electricity Contracts have been reviewed due to observed increase in market volatility.

The updated parameters will have impact on the calculation of the daily margin requirement for which collateral must be posted by 10:30 CET on Tuesday, December 17, 2013.

Margin curves for German Electricity Contracts are increased in the front end of the curve due to increased volatility. The change will result in higher margins for naked positions in close to delivery contracts. The correction factors for German EPADs (EDEFR, EDEBE, EDECZ, EDEFR) are scaled up, which will also result in increase of margin requirement for positions in these contracts.

Updated margin curves can be found at:

Details about the new risk parameters can also be found on our File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server.
