Today is my oldest child's birthday-he is 42. He lives about an hour away. About ten years ago he had an experience that could have killed him. I won't go into detail, but he called my wife the next morning and told her about it. He said I love you and Dad more than anything, but not as much as I love Jesus for saving me. My family is everything to me, but without putting God first then we are not obeying God-He must be first in our lives so we can spend eternity with our family in Heaven. It took my a long time to realize that, but as much as we love our families, God must be first. Before if someone asked me the most important thing in my life, I would immediately say my family, when I should have said the Lord, followed by my family. What good is it to put our family first, but not spend eternity with them with Jesus in heaven? This does not mean family is not  dear to our hearts, it just means God will take care of all the details if we put Him first in our lives. Have a great Sunday. God Bless.   JB
