I do not like the idea of poor or middle class families suffering to put food on the table. I am rich, but I am still human. There are families everyday that don't have a lot , but they still have too much pride to get on food stamps! If you look at the US National Debt Clock, Real Time, you will see that around 50% of the country gets food stamps. There are another 15% that need to be. But they struggle because of their pride. They don't want to be embarrassed. I have had people tell me that! And I guarantee the people are a mix of reps and dems!
And everyone deserves affordable healthcare. I'm not saying free, but affordable. But for those who can't afford it, it should be free. The Democrats simply have a better plan in place to help the country. That's it in a nutshell. People who live and die here make the country, Not just the 20% of the rich.
If everyone in america sent one dollar to the govt for a housing program to buy houses for people who couldn't afford them, that would buy soooooo many houses. There are 311 mill people here. Of course, some are kids. But that's the kind of stuff that needs to happen. I don't mind paying higher taxes because I make more than 250 k. I think a person only needs SO MUCH money. I would be happy to give most of my money away to see poverty gone. Just my opinion.
