Are you planning on selling that much stock in 2014 from a non-Roth acct  to accrue the profits that put you way over the $129K?  You can make $5MM in 2014 from stock appreciation and as long as you don't sell it in 2014 it doesn't show in your gross income.  I am sure I am missing something from your post.
