Analogy for a closed loop system. It is clear
Post# of 375
It is clear that there are a lot of people who don't know the difference between closed and open loops. I've been thinking of an analogy for the closed-loop. Please refer to the drawing I provided for both closed and open loops. The difference is that the closed-loop has "an analyzer" or PrintRite3D. Let's say this analyst has a pen, ruler, knowledge of metal, and calculator to determine if the printing machine is doing the right thing. The analyzer will correct the machine if it doesn't behave correctly. This is how a part comes out PERFECT.
In the open loop, which ALL printer makers use, has no analyst. They say, "Let check the part when it's done." That will be good enough.
See why it takes so much time with the open loop? We have to wait for the printing to finsish before checking the part and we have to check every part!
PrintRite3D is the analyst that was developed at Los Alamos National Laboratory by metallurgist.
I'm still trying to come up with a better analogy than this but this is basically the difference in closed and open loop.
