i had this issue because i was moderating a board there and was attempting to put a stop to the slander that was going on. all i posted was that if they simply posted that a the company was a scam without providing a link to proof, that i would delete the post. but i would think the same applies for calling a company legit and getting the post deleted
Calling the company a scam does not violate the rules. You cannot remove posts for calling the company a scam.
CEOs and public officials are not covered under the off topic or personal attack provision of the TOU. Users can offer their opinions - positive, neutral or negative - about people publicly associated with the company.
All opinions are welcome and encouraged irrespective of investment sentiment, shareholder status and/or alleged motive as long as they are on-topic and comply with the site's rules of conduct.
Verification of what a member posts is NOT required.
It is not the Moderator's role to remove posts on the basis of "truth" or "accuracy". Readers determine the veracity of the posts they read and the credibility of other Posters. If a Moderator disagrees with another Member’s post they have the same recourse as any other User; to ignore the post, or to challenge it with a post of their own focusing on the information, not the other Poster.
"deceitful, libel or slanderous" is something that each reader determines for themselves. After all, why would you want for us (or anyone else for that matter) to withhold content from you solely on the basis of what we believe to be true or false ?
The term you probably mean is libel, not slander. Slander for oral, libel for written
