Riga, 2013-12-06 07:30 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The meeting between management of companies AS “Telekom Baltija” working under the brand “Triatel” and AS “Baltic Telekom” took place in Riga on November 26.
At the meeting, representatives of the companies discussed today’s trends in the market of telecommunication services. Managers shared the positive results of their work and expressed the optimistic forecasts for the next year.
“Triatel” has completed network upgrades, investing four million dollars (2.2 million LVL).
The new base stations were built that increases the coverage of mobile internet in Latvia and provides customers with a higher data rate. After modernization, the number of subscribers of “Triatel” has noticeably increased.
In the beginning of the year, compared with the beginning of 2012, growth in number of customers amounted to 10%, and for the last three months the growth rate increased compared with the same period last year.
“Triatel” management believes that the increase of subscribers will allow the company to recoup investments in network upgrades within the next three years.
