Had to get away from the dark side for a bit. I did some comparisons on attempting to watch reversals. I mentioned about watching parabolic sar, didn't seem to be much interest in discussing it. Some just want to get their target. The sar indicator trails like almost all of the technical indicators in that it shows what's already happened. What I noticed today was that the sar was going sideways instead of down like it should be going during a down trend. Many of the indicators are pushing the oversold. Todays sar indicator imo SHOULD have printed at 1.60, it didn't. It stayed at 1.65 following yesterday. Sometimes I ramble so stay with me.
When I look for pincher type plays, finding a reversal indicator is key. What's more important is the confirmation. Clearly, there is no confirmation of reversal at the moment. So I look at some of the other indicators to look for potential turns, even for a quick pinch. Fast stochastics usually leads off. On the 30 day daily fast stoch has finally turned up a bit.... we need more. Accumulation/distribution indicator follows. Then we wait to see IF the divergence of the directional movement and price oscillators start to show improvement. Confused enough yet? For the most part it's anyone's guess but I've been chasing the falling knives for a while now. What I've noticed today is a day or two after the SAR has printed two days in a row sideways It has shown reversal. NOT ALWAYS though. One could easily say CTIX is pushing so much oversold I must be nuts to even ramble like this. Well, I am nuts so no worries there.
So, long story short? I'm not looking for 1.30's but won't be surprised to see it, and standing by if it does. Opening the chart up to 2 years (jeez right?) I see support @ 1.20 and 1.18. I'm seeing some of the indicators starting to push the oversolds pretty good to tell me all is not lost and there is some $$$ on the side including my chump change to soak it up. Good luck to us all, if all goes well we'll be making out pretty good!
I am not compensated for any of the bs I post here or anywhere else. I do own shares that I would like to see much more on the green side! And I think in time, they will be.
