ForeScout Named to SC Magazine's Prestigious Industry Innovator List for Second Consecutive Year

CAMPBELL, Calif., Dec. 4, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ForeScout Technologies , Inc., a leading provider of pervasive network security solutions for Global 2000 enterprises and government organizations, has been recognized by SC Magazine as an Industry Innovator in Access Control, in particular, for bi-directional integration advantages delivered through ForeScout ControlFabric™ technology. This marks the second consecutive year ForeScout has been honored with this prestigious distinction. Last year, the company was lauded for its progressive BYOD security offering.

The article, " 2013 Industry Innovators: Access Control ," states that ForeScout is "forward-looking" with "a clear focus on bring-your-own-device (BYOD)" and "the idea of pervasive security throughout the enterprise." The editor highlighted the company's "'bi-directional integration' that allows [ CounterACT ] to integrate other third-party products into its ecosystem quickly and easily. In fact, customers and partners can do the integrations themselves with ForeScout's API."

ForeScout ControlFabric technology enables IT security products to dynamically share information and leverage CounterACT's endpoint mitigation capabilities to more rapidly respond to a range of enterprise security and operational issues. The architecture offers new interfaces that open ForeScout CounterACT and allows a broader community to flexibly integrate CounterACT with other security and management systems.

"We are thrilled to be recognized as an Industry Innovator by SC Magazine for two consecutive years," said Gord Boyce, CEO of ForeScout. "This industry recognition is a testament to ForeScout's efforts to build and maintain a best-of-breed network security platform that helps our customers gain comprehensive visibility, control and mitigation capabilities."

Over the last several years, ForeScout CounterACT has been recognized as a top product in the SC Magazine Reader Trust Award competition, winning the honor in 2012 and 2013. In October, the publication's group test review gave CounterACT functionality five stars and a "Best Buy" rating.
