The greatest cartoon in my estimation was Calvin

The greatest cartoon in my estimation was Calvin & Hobbs.  That cartoonist nailed how a little kid thinks so spot on it was scary; even his facial expressions were perfect.  My favorite scenes were when he would go to his Dad and tell him how he was doing in the polls as a father.  It also fascinated me how the little guy slipped so easily from reality to his own little world and the crap his little mind thought up.  I felt right at home with that comic strip.  I bought all the books I could and have been saving them so that future generations of my family could see what made the oldtimers laugh.  I still take them out from time to time and get as much enjoyment out of them today as I did 5-10 years ago.
