One does not know if the third party is "twisting the truth" or not.
I shared the circumstances regarding this M&G at CL and the cancelled one at MBA.
As far as believing what is read on these boards, your on your own, that is not DD. It can however be a starting point for real DD.
Just as everything The Company shares in PR's, CC's, websites, Tweets, self written Bio's, etc. This is not DD, but simply a starting point to determine what is fact and what is fiction. Third party sources are used to help make that determination.
Example: company XYZ is considering buying out company ABC, let's make it closer to home, ABC is considering buying out TDEY (hypothetical situation, not real). XYZ gathers TDEY's PR's, CC's, Website info, Tweets, Bio's, financials etc. Do anyone think for one minute that is DD that ABC will use to determine if they want to buy them out? Of course not. ABC will begin to gather DD based on TDEY's claim by talking to third partys.
Your posts indicate you have much to learn about what real DD is.
Good luck. Pick up the phone and try to confirm any of The Company's claims. Some people are just too lazy and find it easier to just believe what they are told without even trying to confirm it.
