At EWSI, we choose to operate within the confines of the European Union's WEEE Directive, which is generally regarded as the highest set of standards in the world. Every company that we affiliate with or acquire must agree to operate by our standards even when local laws in that jurisdiction don't demand it. All facilities we use are registered with the appropriate federal and state regulatory bodies and many have the following certifications and qualifications: R2, RIOS, and/or e-Stewards ISO 9001, 14001, or both OHSAS 18001 National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) Manufacturer-authorized service providers In addition, we are committed to: A zero-landfill objective Transparent processing that will stand the test of scrutiny from any audit Developing a Fair Trade Program, including greenfield sites that integrate fair trade employment practices with the best engineering available to solve the e-waste problem
