E-Waste Systems Continues Global Brand Expansion
Post# of 3844
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, Sep 26, 2013 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- E-Waste Systems, Inc. (OTCQB: EWSI) ('EWSI' or the "Company"), an electronic waste management services, technology and reverse logistics company, and the first public pure eWaste company, announced today that it has signed 3 new Brand License Agreements with companies with a strategic market position that will improve penetration of the EWSI family of brands further into Europe, Middle East and Africa.
"EWSI remains committed to brand expansion and these newest licenses expand our reach further into southern Europe, into the eastern and southern Mediterranean region and to the west coast of Africa. Every week EWSI is approached by companies from around the world seeking to align with us in our commitment to address the tremendous problem created by the growth of electronic waste world-wide and the need for environmentally acceptable solutions," said Martin Nielson, Founder and CEO of EWSI.
In addition Mr. Nielson reports that, "EWSI is actively negotiating strategic investments in companies that offer market penetration and facilitate our aggressive plan for expansion. We are convinced that having a presence in each key part of the world is crucial to serving the expanding customer base and provides maximum opportunity for profitability."
"As all developed countries grow and mature, consumer and organizational consumption creates more and more rubbish. For example, in the European Union alone, according to the European Commission, 3 billion tonnes of waste -- some 90 million tonnes of which is hazardous is generated every year. This amounts to about 6 tonnes of solid waste for every man, woman and child -- every year!(1)"
"We recognize that waste, and particularly e-waste, is a global problem that requires a global solution. We are therefore passionate about developing and managing a worldwide presence utilizing brand licensing and strategic affiliations. We continue to promote our brands through educating the public and alignment with the highest compliance standards in the world, led by Europe's WEEE Directive. We will continue to develop affiliations with quality organizations that share our business and environmental principles, thus expanding the geographic and service coverage of our Company," said Mr. Nielson.
EWSI brings technology, including its recently announced proprietary ePlant1000(TM), eWasteCC(TM) carbon credit and eWasteTRACK(TM) solutions, regulatory knowledge, industry experience and management services to its subsidiaries and affiliates, brand licensees, and teaming partners around the world as part of its strategy to extend the presence and global influence of the Company's branded services and technologies.
"As our presence has expanded, so has our need to communicate in the language and culture of the regions we enter. As such, I have commissioned our team to develop website content in the language of our partners to use in promoting our brands and ideals wherever our partners are based," stated Mr. Nielson.

Industry Expansion The e-waste and reverse logistics market has become a $100B+ annual business (Source: Blumberg Associates), excluding much of the resale of still usable goods that flood the marketplace as new updates in software and hardware are released. Furthermore, as environmental legislation and policies sets more stringent requirements for the disposal of these items, many analysts and practitioners expect e-waste to grow faster than any other waste stream over the next 5 years. The benefits of e-waste management and recycling are many, including conservation of natural resources, creation of new jobs, prevention of environmental contamination by toxic chemicals, and reduction of energy requirements.
