Well, that is not very definitive, thank you for your input but I choose to wait for the daily FINRA short sale figures and judge then how much shorters had a hand in todays action. For longs or those holding shares the more wise strategy would have been to wait and sell smaller lots for higher prices in the face of the growing buying pressure and how well the technicals were setting up for the stock. The lone seller theory leaves much to be desired, unless it was the company recklessly diluting but I doubt it is the CEO's plan to crush the momentum in the stock any time the trading grows strong enough to threaten a break above the 200 DMA which would put shorts in a very risky predicament. No one can know where the pressure is coming from but at least later on today, the short figures will give us some extra information and a clue as to what exactly happened to the stock today.
