Well just a mention back on that. I work in the oil fields in Louisiana. We don't usually get temperatures below freezing so I can see you point about not setting a well up for sub-zero temperatures. But on the same turn, we see temps below freezing sometimes down as low as 20 to 25 with a 40 mph wind. If we have a freezing problem it is because of hydrates dropping out and freezing after a pressure drop in a gas well that has a FTP of 5000 to 15,000psi. I would never forget that there is water in those pipes, you are not talking to an inexperienced oil hand or just a trader or an investor. I am asking about things I see and do on a regular basis. Don't care what you have been told, this could have been prevented. We use things like heat trace and wrap the pipes. This would cost less than $1000. Hardly going to put us spending more than we should. I am not talking about heat exchangers from your treater, now that would be wasted money in Texas.
