Periods of wintry precipitation are expected across West Central Texas today through early Monday.
Periods of freezing rain and freezing drizzle mixing with sleet at times are expected to continue across West Central Texas Today. Ice and sleet accumulations are expected to remain light through Saturday, affecting mainly elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses, power lines. Automobiles, and trees. Beginning tonight, more widespread and organized lift will move into the area as a large upper level low slowly moves toward the region. This will result in a better chance for widespread significant accumulations of ice and/or sleet across the entire area from Saturday night through early Monday morning.
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 pm CST this evening.

The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Winter Storm Warning for a mix of sleet, freezing rain, and some snow, which is in effect from 6 pm this evening to 6 am CST Monday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 pm CST this evening.
- Impacts: dangerous driving conditions due to icy roads. In addition, sub freezing temperatures and gusty winds will pose a threat to outside pets, livestock and exposed pipes.
- Timing: freezing rain and freezing drizzle will continue today, occasionally mixing with sleet. A more significant heavy precipitation event, mainly Freezing rain and sleet, is possible Saturday night and Sunday as a strong upper level storm system moves across the area. Some Snow is expected to mix with the freezing rain and sleet, mainly west of a Brownwood to Ozona line.
- Accumulations: Freezing rain and sleet accumulations are expected to remain less than 1/10 of an inch through Saturday. However, ice and sleet accumulations of 1/2 inch or greater will be possible from Saturday night through the weekend.
