1985 • Constructed 2 Full Power Television stations for Community Educational Television for the Island of Puerto Rico, WUJA Channel 58 and WKKU Channel 32. • Vice President: Agape TV Media • First annual Spanish Latin American Ministerial Satellite Conference. Televised over General Electric satellite with it’s foot print over Central and South America • Installed 3 Camera Studio facilities in Houston Texas, complete with editing bay, lights and sound equipment. 1986 • Developed a 4-camera mobile production facility in San Benito, Texas with a complete 34-foot Mobile Truck for remote broadcasts, concerts, conferences and special sporting events such as regional football and college basketball for University of Texas Pan American. • Designed and development a 5,000 sq. ft. studio and meeting facility in South Texas complete with 3 Camera studio facility set design, installations. Managed a production staff of 8 people. Provided training and hands on education for 22 students in the TV production field. 1987 • Co-founded and launch FPG Church Corporation. Built their first production facility. Installed a complete sound stage and sound reinforcement system. 32-channel soundboard, audio snake, wireless and wired microphones, sound acoustics and sound room. Developed a marketing campaign with direct to home mail, newspaper advertisement, outbound phone campaign and outdoor advertising. Trained administration and volunteers to service membership of over 200 families as active members. Organized a mail order audiotape teaching system for those interested in their In Home Bible Education. 1989 • Designed and installed equipment for the construction of KOS-TV Channel 15 Topeka, KS. Establish and installed all Master Control equipment, VHS, 3?4” and Beta machines. Built and trained administration, staff and volunteers for office operations. Managed 4 staff members and 12 volunteers. Created the sales team and managed a 5 man marketing staff. • Constructed, general managed, owned and operated KFX-TV Channel 55 Corpus Christi, TX. Installation of technology and Administrative support. Designed and installed studio equipment: Hitachi cameras, 3?4” and Beta Machines, JVC Production switcher, Chyron Character Generator and Sony Editing equipment. Managed a staff of 8 with over 38 volunteers. Started a call center with 2 lines for outbound phone sales of airtime and commercial advertising. Grew to 20 outbound call operators with over 18 hours of daily operation. 1990 • Constructed KOBS-TV Channel 52 San Antonio, Texas. Installed complete master control and production facility on the penthouse of the Tower LIFE building, downtown San Antonio. Grew the station from one full time and one part time employee to 8 employees and 30 volunteers. • Built two production studios and provided/supervised for studios. • Constructed KBOS-TV Channel 46 Beaumont, Texas. This station was a satellite broadcast facility for KFX-TV Channel 55 Corpus Christi Texas. ?• Managing family partner and on site supervisor for all 4 complete Television operations in Topeka, KS, Corpus Christi, San Antonio and Beaumont, TX. Total staff and volunteers where over 100 people. 1994 • Founded Ortiz Media Group, Inc. as a consultations and media buying company. Began with 2 clients and grew to 24 clients within the first year. Provided $97,000 in gross airtime sales within the first year. The following three years our sales experienced an average of 220% year-by-year growth. • Provided airtime sales and full-length program placement for 4 television networks: NBC, FOX, Univision & Televisa MX. • Produced and syndicated the outdoor show “The South Texas Sportsman”. A weekly syndicated TV shows with retransmission agreements with Fox and NBC for Texas. The following year we syndicated the show with America One Television network with retransmission agreements in 50 TV markets throughout the United States. Advertisers were: Suzuki motors, Top-flight rods, Bay Master Boats and countless lures and fishing equipment. We grew to an average of $12,000 weekly billing. • Signed on the air our Owner/Operated station KOBS Channel 63 in San Antonio, Texas and KWDT Channel 13 in Corpus Christi, Texas. These stations became the beginning of our regional network called The Hello Channel dedicated to the tourism and city information service to over 7 Million Visitors throughout the year. Converted these stations to be operated as an automated facility with remote access and transfer of all commercial spots and programming from corporate in Harlingen, Texas via a standard phone line. • General Contractor for the construction of a new and largest meeting facility of its time in Harlingen Texas. Worked with architecture, designers and technology engineers for the building and developing of a 25,000 square foot, 3,400 seat facility with Multiple projector screens, state of the art digital production facility with 7 cameras, cranes, multi-audio production suite, 7,000 square foot TV production studio, 2,000 square foot audio recording studio with multi track recording, reel to reel Tascam, Machi sound boards, Sound Craft and Oran Sound boards. JBL speaker array with over 20,000 watts of sound. Complete 250 pieces digital light system with laser effects, light board and smoke machines. • Marketing of our facility with over 3,000 visitors each week and 6 LIVE events weekly. Annual concerts, New Years Satellite event for 4 time zones, multiple speaking events, plays and dramas with live animals. Marketed the facility to be used for special occasions, weddings, training seminars and trade shows. $3 million per year in outside events and managed 61 employees and 112 volunteers. 1996 • Ortiz Media Group, Inc. experienced growth year by year in airtime and advertising sales as an Agency. Signed on the air KTRG Channel 10 in Del Rio/San Antonio, TX. • Negotiated WB affiliation agreements for Channel KTRG Channel 10 • Negotiated UPN affiliation for South Texas station. • Signed on the air KNEZ Channel 64 Oklahoma City, OK owned by my family. • Negotiated and implemented a $1.6 Million contract for airtime in KNEZ • Negotiated WB affiliation agreements for KNEZ Oklahoma City, Ok Channel 64 • Designed and built the first fiber optic television network in the USA linking broadcast stations throughout South Texas. San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Del Rió, Laredo and McAllen. Complete point-to-point digital solutions and co-constructed LEL-Digital Mpeg 2 Compression desktop video servers. Each system was used to deliver the WB and UPN affiliate programming LIVE to each of the repeater stations. • Signed on the air KCOS Channel 28 Phoenix, Arizona that served as a Satellite station of our Family Television Network, which we started the following year. 1997 • Launched Family Television Network via Satellite with a retransmit agreement with AMC 24 a General Electric satellite on a C-Band frequency. Co-constructed a complete Teleport Uplink center in Harlingen, Texas. Built and licensed a 6 meter uplink dish and earth transmit station complete with multiplexing capabilities, master control with Beta SP, Digital Beta, JVC Studio Cameras, JVC production switcher and 4 Sony Editing Suites. • Negotiated purchases of New and used 3 meter portable Uplink equipment and successfully negotiated retransmission rights to over 30 television stations to rebroadcast our syndicated program called “FPG LIVE”. Agreements were made with Fox, NBC, Televisa, PAX Network and various independent stations in multiple television markets. • Relocated corporate offices of Ortiz Media Group, Inc. from Harlingen, Texas to San Antonio, Texas. ?1998 • Launched Faith Pleases God Church in San Antonio as Senior Pastor. Constructed a 13,000 square foot meeting facility for conferences, concerts, weddings and seminars. • Constructed Channel 25 and Channel 63 in San Antonio. • Constructed Channel 64 New Braunfels, Texas • Founder/President of “The Hello Channel” a Tourist Marketing company providing advertising through Close-circuit in Hotels. Complete distribution programming distribution in the Sheraton, Hilton, Omni, Radisson and over 58 Hotels throughout San Antonio and Corpus Christi. City Tourist office represented a total of 7 million visitors in the rooms we were servicing. Client list were every store, restaurant and shopping location in the downtown areas of both San Antonio and Corpus Christi. 2000 • Vice President/CEO/Pastor of Faith Pleases God Church, Corporation in Harlingen Texas with 60 Staff members and 2500 church members • Became the President of Family Television Network. • Television broadcast program with a daily retransmission rights on Enlace, Cadena de Milagros and Miracle Network. Broadcast coverage and retransmission rights to 38 countries. Transmitted over AMC 23 Satellite owned by General Electric and PAS9 (AI-9) 2001 • • Converted Family Television Network to La Familia Network to be the first Hispanic Family Entertainment Network with International penetration and Satellite coverage to the cable communities of the United States. • La Familia Network retransmits throughout the USA via Cable agreements to over 6,000,000 Cable homes and has licensing agreements to cover a potential of 30 million homes. • Creation of “The God Pleaser Television Broadcast” with broadcasting rights in over 140 Countries. Networks who syndicated the program: La Familia Network, Fox, NBC, Cadena De Milagros-Latin America, Enlace-Latin America & Europe, Miracle Net-India & Asia and CLN-Russia • International crusades in Guatemala, Puerto Rico and the USA public speaker in arenas from 2,000 - 60,000 in attendance per event. 2003 • Founder/President FE-TV. FeTV is retransmitted on over 20 television stations and Amazonas Satellite and Pan American Satellite with coverage over all of North, Central and South America. • Invited to the Inauguration of the President of El Salvador • Public Speaker in Panama to over 60,000 in attendance nightly in an open-air stadium. • Co-Founded and Negotiated the First Hispanic Media Summit held in Time Square, New York City. Our first event drew 950 delegates who consisted of Cable network Presidents and Owners of other broadcast stations throughout North America. • Built a 60-seat call center with over 300 employees to service the Spanish industry. Clients were: Revival Ministries, Joyce Meyers Ministries, Creflo Dollar Ministries, Food For the Poor, Inc., CBN, Enlace and Verizon. • Beta tester for a new virtual call center technology that would later be utilized in every call center in the world with the use of the open Internet. Worth Market for $5 Million. • Initial Organization and Consultant for VAN (Visual Arts Network) the first and only Television Network created for the sole purpose of Entertaining and Educating in the area of the Visual Arts. • Became a Beta tester for YouTube (www.youtube.com) as a broadcaster/developer. 2007 • Creation and Co-Founder of TV Vision Network, LLC a Hispanic Entertainment Television network in Tampa, Florida. Negotiated cable coverage over Verizon FiOS in the Tampa, Florida Market. • Founder/President of 1580 AM, LLC in McAllen, Texas. 1580AM is a full power AM Radio station covering over 2.2 Million people in Northern Mexico – Southern Texas region. • Beta Tester for Brightcove (www.brightcove.com) iptv solution. This is a full service company providing multiple applications to various business models and associates. 2008 • Launched iPoint Television, LLC a full service IPTV Company with a Set Top Box business model. Started with 22 channels. Today, iPoint TV has over 160 channel agreements. • Provide an IPTV solution and consultation to various clients, teaching the use of iptv services and social marketing campaigns using Facebook, YouTube and Brightcove. 2010 • Opened a branch office of iPoint Television, LLC in London, England and began signing up Affiliate Partners to service clients throughout the United Kingdom. • Consulted a broadcast group in the London to build their new television network called Praise Television Network. Negotiated the sales agreement to manage all airtime sales for the new network. Praise TV Network is seen throughout Europe on 12 Million homes in the UK and 200 Million Satellite dish users (FTA-Free To Air) satellites. 2011 • Consulting various organizations with their technology and social media campaigns. Building online IPTV networks and Audio streaming networks.
