Wrong, it is not "unlikely", it is fact. Yes, indeed, RFMK stock is getting heavily shorted. What the bashing shorts do not want you to realize is that if we are to assume that the shorts are getting covered on the same day or T+3 days so that the biweekly short sale figures remain at zero then covering (buying to cover) accounts for volume equal to the short sale volume; this means if the short sale volume was say 10M then the covering transactions were 10M and if the total volume on that day was only 34M then that means only 14M shares traded normally on that day, the rest of the volume was just part of the MM games we have been witnessing. On those days whereby the short sale volume is greater than 50% of the total volume then necessarily (by simply math) all of the short sales were not covered on that day, which means an accumulation of shorts on the books that sit for future days waiting to be covered. This is all fact, not speculation or guesswork. We also have no idea if all of the short sales are getting properly reported by these crony firms engaged in such shennanigans. The same shorting bashers who are a part of it will get on the boards and try to convince you that only the biweekly short metrics mean anything and all of the daily short sale volume is just meaningless market making data but that is a lie. The daily short metrics do not represent legged-trades or any other nonsense, they are aggregate short sale transaction volumes and total share trade volumes, plain and simple. Settling the trades or letting them fail has nothing to do with these metrics, especially when talking about a security on a trade for trade designation where no naked short selling is allowed, however legit short sales are allowed and they obviously are taking full advantage of it.
