There are few who have the flair to make every baseball broadcast a love of the game and a comedy besides; Harry Carey and Dizzy Dean sure left their marks; as distinctive as old Paul Harvey (and the rest of the story) was to the news. Also get a kick out of the Brewers' Bob Eucker, the ramblings of Yogi Berra and Casey Stengel, etc.
One of the funniest lines I heard was from Ricky Henderson of the Athletics. He got traded to the Padres and early after his arrival he was getting on the team bus and started heading towards the rear. One of the rookies piped up "Ricky, you don't have to go to the rear, as a veteran you get to sit up front, you have tenure." Ricky replied (He always spoke of himself in the third person - what's with that?) Ricky don't have ten year, Ricky has fourteen year.
