Bloor Research Names Fischer as "Champion" in Identity & Access Management Services

NAPLES, Fla., Nov. 14, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bloor Research confirmed Fischer International Identity is a top vendor in identity and access management (IAM) services by rating them a Champion in Bloor's "Market Update: Identity & Access Management Services." The report provides a snapshot of the current state of the market for identity and access management (IAM) services.

"Such [IAM] services are relevant to organizations of all sizes and in any line of business... every organization needs to control and protect access to sensitive data, from financial information to intellectual property, as well as personally identifiable information regarding employees, customers and business partners," according to Fran Howarth, Senior Analyst, Security, with Bloor. "Mobile, cloud and social are disruptive forces that are changing the technology landscape. They enable new business opportunities and greater productivity, but also introduce new risks that need to be countered to prevent sensitive information from being accessed inappropriately."

Fischer's cloud-based Identity as a Service® offering enables organizations to manage risk by controlling access to resources and enforcing organizational policies, yet with the convenience, labor savings and controlled investment afforded by a software-as-a-service model.  Fischer's state-of-the-art IAM solution is a proven catalyst that facilitates the use of other applications and technologies. This enables organizations to achieve a variety of objectives such as increasing service levels, controlling costs and improving governance and compliance.

"We're pleased that the Bloor Research chart places Fischer among the top three vendors in IAM Services," stated Dennis McDermott, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Fischer. "This is consistent with reports from other analyst organizations within the past few months that have rated Fischer as a Product Leader and Visionary in IAM and Governance. It is yet another confirmation that our vision to create the Managed Identity Services® market was on-target."
