thePlatform for Engage Sports

thePlatform, the white-label video publishing company and independent subsidiary of Comcast, has been selected to provide the back-end video management system for Engage Sports Media, a leader in the digital sports marketplace based in the UK.

Under the agreement, Engage will use thePlatform’s cloud-based video management system, mpx, to manage and distribute online content for its high-profile football, rugby and cricket clients. These include the International Rugby Board (IRB), the governing body for Rugby Union, as well as the Indian Premier League (IPL) teams the Rajasthan Royals and 2012 Champions the Kolkata Knight Rider.
