The SportsLegend luminaire's exceptionally long life and rugged construction provides virtually maintenance-free operations, greatly reducing costs associated with non-LED lamp replacements. Featuring a 50,000-hour average rated life, it delivers excellent energy savings of up to 60% over existing 1,000- and 1,500-watt metal halide sports lighting fixtures.
It also eliminates nuisance interruptions from brownouts and blackouts during events by allowing the lighting system to restart immediately upon restoration of power. Existing metal halide lights require up to 15 minutes to restart.
Because of its low-energy consumption and "instant on" capabilities, the "SportsLegend" luminaire is well suited for regions where high-energy costs and fluctuating energy supplies are common, such as Latin America and the Caribbean.
