ANDOVER, Mass., Nov. 7, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Capsule Technologie, the leading global provider of medical device connectivity solutions, today announced that Didier Argenton has joined the company as Vice President of International Sales. Mr. Argenton brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to Capsule as he transitions from his previous role as a Sales Director at Siemens Healthcare.  Mr. Argenton will lead Capsule's international sales and business development efforts in the rapidly growing healthcare technology market segment.

Prior to joining Capsule, Mr. Argenton served as the head of Sales of Siemens Healthcare in France.  He has also held several senior positions at Texas Instruments, Arrow and EADS Astrium.  Mr. Argenton also co-founded and developed three start-up companies in the electronic and medical fields. Mr. Argenton earned a business management degree from Audencia in France and a Master of Business Administration from the University of San Diego in the USA.

"I am delighted to have Didier join our team," said Gene Cattarina, Chief Executive Officer at Capsule. "Capsule is experiencing strong global growth, especially in Europe, and in France, in particular, where the market to adopt medical device connectivity is being driven by the digital hospital program led by the French Ministry of Health. We have implemented our connectivity solution in over 300 hospitals outside of North America, with more than 20 hospitals going live in the past 12 months.

"We're looking forward to Didier leading new initiatives not only in Europe but also in Asia and the Middle East," Mr. Cattarina continued.  "His experience and expertise will be quickly put to use as Capsule continues to develop partnerships around the world."

"The medical informatics market continues to expand at a rapid rate.  An integral part of that expansion is integrating medical devices with hospital electronic medical records systems," said Mr. Argenton.  "To join the global leader in this domain and to contribute not only to its success, but also provide healthcare organizations with a critical capability is a tremendous opportunity that I am looking forward to."
