Boise Cascade Engineered Wood Products Wins Prestigious National Brand Building Award

BOISE, Idaho, Nov. 4, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Boise Cascade Engineered Wood Products, a business unit of Boise Cascade Company headquartered in Boise, Idaho, recently won the national "Best Dealer Program" award in the first annual national Brand Builder Awards ceremony held in Chicago and sponsored by Hanley Wood. The Brand Builder Awards competition recognizes the most innovative and effective marketing campaigns throughout the residential and commercial design and construction industry. "The competition is designed to honor the organizations that have demonstrated superiority in their ability to develop, create, implement and execute marketing strategies and tactics that define excellence," according to sponsor Hanley Wood press materials. Winners were chosen by an independent judge's panel of marketing and advertising experts, with no one from Hanley Wood participating in the judging process.

Boise Cascade's campaign included print and digital marketing targeted to distributors, dealers and homebuilders outlining Boise Cascade's innovative "Value Proposition." This program markets the four pillars of Boise Cascade marketing programs: 1) Complete product line; 2) Dependable nationwide distribution; 3) Effective tools and guidance; and 4) Being easy to do business with. The campaign has helped Boise Cascade win market share in challenging economic times. "The quality of the entries was exceptional," said Frank Anton, vice chairman of Hanley Wood, L.L.C. "We are seeing the effects of the housing industry recovery as companies begin to expand their marketing efforts," Anton said. "This competition was fantastic and we look forward to continuing the awards for years to come," he added.

The awards were sponsored by Hanley Wood, America's premier media, event, information and strategic marketing services company serving the residential, commercial design and construction industries. Awards were divided into 13 main categories, which included Boise Cascade's "Best Dealer Program" award, plus 11 print and digital sub-categories.
