The VivaScope® cellular imaging system developed by Caliber Imaging & Diagnostics (OTCQB:LCDX), formerly Lucid, Inc., was featured in a video segment and article posted on Fox News on October 29. VivaScope allows doctors to offer their patients noninvasive optical biopsies of skin and to aid in the detection of skin cancer. Since there is no cutting, there is also no possibility of infection or scarring.
The segment and article, titled "New technology performs skin biopsies without the cutting," note the benefits of noninvasive biopsy, and report that confocal microscopy has moved beyond the research stage and is being used to help physicians to diagnose patients quickly and painlessly.
