VIEWCAST.COM INC (VCST)

The parent company of “ VideoWare ” ViewCast develops enabling hardware and software products that capture, encode and deliver video and audio to digital networks, set top boxes, computers and mobile devices.

Revenue is derived from product sales and fees from service and support.

Products are sold and used globally in broadcasting, enterprise communication, education, training, advertising, marketing, defense, security, government and judicial applications, and within a variety of third party integrated products.

VideoWare has the Niagara System product line and offers both portable and rack mount video encoding systems.

First Quarter Financial Results

In the 2013 first quarter, revenues were $2.4 million compared to $3.4 million in the prior year period.  Operating expenses for the first quarter 2013 were $1.9 million compared to $2.4 million for the prior year period.  Operating loss for the first quarter 2013 was $(397,000) compared to operating loss of $(275,000) for the year-earlier period.
