There are times in my line of work when I say that I will have things ready by a certain date and it doesn’t happen.  Maybe it takes longer than I anticipated or someone else has an emergency that takes precedence or my kid got sick or whatever. It’s not because I am not doing my job.  I call and explain there’s a delay.  Here’s my opinion:  These guys had hoped to have the financials out yesterday.  But shit happens.  What if, for example, you completed a financial statement and then discovered that it was based on information in a footnote that was incorrect? You would have to redo the research, compile and correct the information in the footnote and adjust the financial statements accordingly.  I’m pretty sure we’re not going to see a crappy QuickBooks product this time around.  Breathe.
