New head of C&I at Danske Bank

Danske Bank has appointed Glenn Söderholm (aged 49) Head of Corporates & Institutions (C&I) and a member of the Bank’s Executive Board with effect on 1 November 2013. In this position, Glenn Söderholm succeeds Thomas F. Borgen, who was appointed chief executive officer of Danske Bank in September this year.

Glenn Söderholm has been part of the management team of C&I and has most recently been responsible for the business relationships with Danske Bank’s largest clients. Söderholm has been with Danske Bank since 1998 when he joined the Bank’s Markets unit in his native country, Sweden. Before then, Glenn Söderholm has held a number of positions, including positions at SEB and Handelsbanken, two Swedish banks. He has been working in Denmark since 2007 when he joined the management team at Markets.

As head of Corporates & Institutions and a member of Danske Bank’s Executive Board, Glenn Söderholm will have the overall responsibility for Danske Bank’s largest clients – both corporate and institutional clients. C&I also includes Danske Bank Markets and Transaction Banking.
