I find that a perceptive post, Crookedneck. I found today's PR one of the best ever, because I am well aware of how important the Chinese market is, especially in the biggest cities, including Beijing and, of course, Hong Kong, which is bound to have a huge impact as an international mart and showcase. The short term traders (flippers and day traders) do create a great deal of confusion and market chaos – I suppose it has to be taken as a minor irritation. When the daily range is as large as it has been today, that does allow patient buyers to find a good entry point.
