Newbury Partners Names Stephane Chevrier Managing

STAMFORD, Conn., Oct. 28, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Newbury Partners, a Stamford-CT-based firm with more than $2.2 billion in assets under management specializing in the acquisition of private equity limited partnership interests in the secondary market, has named Mr. Stéphane Chevrier as Managing Director. In his new role, Mr. Chevrier is responsible for the origination, execution, and monitoring of private equity investments.

Prior to joining Newbury Partners, Mr. Chevrier served the primary and secondary private equity markets as a principal investor for over 13 years.   Most recently, Mr. Chevrier was the Founder and Managing Partner of Equifin Alternative Investments LLC ("EAI"), an alternative asset management firm focused exclusively on the private equity asset class.  Since its inception in 2010, EAI has completed 12 transactions, approximately $620 million in total consideration, involving secondary purchases of limited partnership and equity co-investment interests. Prior to EAI, Mr. Chevrier was a Managing Director at Ardian (formerly AXA Private Equity), a leading global European-based private equity firm. During his tenure, Mr. Chevrier was involved in over $3 billion of primary and secondary transactions and actively involved in 12 successful secondary private equity transactions.  Prior to Ardian Equity, Mr. Chevrier worked as a financial auditor for Mazars Group and KPMG in London and Paris. He is a qualified French CPA.

Mr. Chevrier holds a joint MBA from Paris-Dauphine University and UQAM (Canada) and received a B.A. in finance from Cergy-Pontoise University (France). Mr. Chevrier maintains dual American and French citizenships.
