To my eye, there is no direct reference to current status of this consultant. In fact, would lean more to consultant with active status as regards the company. Does specify that consultant was hired for a specific duty as an independent consultant....that is good....no shares...no ongoing employee status. Hired to give a consult on regulatory compliance.
