Study Shows Small- and Medium-Sized Businesses Not Prepared for Business Disasters
IceWEB, Inc. (OTCBB:IWEB) reported today that its Computers and Tele-Comm, Inc. subsidiary is seeing a heightened interest from the reseller community in its enhanced disaster recovery and cloud services offerings.
Executive VP of Sales, Larry Levin, referring to a recent study reported by Fox Small Business Center which shows that two-thirds of companies with fewer than 100 employees haven’t created a disaster plan, commented, “Small- to medium-sized businesses are not prepared for a business disaster. The dynamic cited in the Fox study is in play in our market areas as well.”
Levin continued, “Just as we are coming up on the anniversary of Hurricane Sandy and the memory of all the havoc that it caused for small and large businesses alike, we are seeing that although companies know they need to have a plan, most haven’t yet put one in place. IceWEB and CTC are a perfect choice for companies seeking to protect their precious data assets as well as their data connections, in part because we are geographically located in the center of the US. Our NAP, our datacenter capabilities, and our connectivity services, give us the reach and capability to connect to any data center in the US. IceWEB and CTC can provide world-class backup services, disaster recovery capabilities, bandwidth, colocation, hosting services, and cloud collaboration tools to these customers through resellers at pricing they can afford. That’s where our resellers and sales agents come in—they are the go-to players for small to medium businesses, and we’re engaging with them on a daily basis to educate them on how our new services are a great fit for their customers.”
Jeff Powell, CEO of Sybran Communications, Inc., a leading communications and technology agent in Lenexa, Kansas stated, “We are extremely energized about the services and capabilities that we see from IceWEB as a result of their acquisition of CTC, and we believe our national network of carriers and agents will be as well. We are seeing more small- to medium-sized businesses realize that with the general business and regulatory environment pressures they face, they can’t continue to conduct business as the status quo and must move to the cloud as a core part of their business strategy. We look to IceWEB to help us provide those critical services.”
