CertusBank Announces 25% Increase in SBA 7a Loan V

GREENVILLE, S.C., Oct. 23, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CertusBank, N.A. announced today that it is now the largest Small Business Administration (SBA) 7a lender by volume in South Carolina and is ranked #24 in the country. The bank originated 78 loans nationwide for a total of $121,838,600 during the SBA's fiscal year, which ended on September 30, 2013. This represents an 11% increase in total number of loans and a 25% increase in dollar volume as compared to 2012.

The bank opened their first South Carolina loan production office in March, funding $21.9 million in loans in the following six months, and has recently opened new offices in Texas and Georgia. In September, CertusBank was awarded national SBA Preferred Lender status, which allows the bank to streamline and expedite SBA loan approval, closing, and servicing functions through delegated authority to underwrite and approve loans on behalf of the SBA.
