DGAP-News: zooplus AG / Key word(s): Preliminary Results/Quarter Results zooplus AG: Strong operating performance in Q3/2013 - Total sales target for 2013 raised to EUR 415 m 21.10.2013 / 07:20 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Munich, October 21, 2013 - zooplus AG (WKN 511170, ISIN DE0005111702, ticker symbol ZO1), Europe's leading online retailer of pet supplies, was able to generate total sales of EUR 107.6 m (Q3 2012: EUR 85.4 million) in the third quarter of the current financial year according to preliminary figures. The increase compared to the previous year quarter is therefore EUR 22.2 m (comparative figure Q3 2012: EUR 19.0 m). Of this amount, sales made up EUR 102.4 m (Q3 2012: EUR 81.3 m) and other income contributed EUR 5.2 m (Q3 2012: EUR 4.2 m). From a nine-month point of view, total sales came in at EUR 306.4 m (9M 2012: EUR 237.8 m), which represents a rise of 29% compared to the previous year period. Dr. Cornelius Patt, CEO of zooplus AG, comments: 'We have been able to post new record figures in the third quarter. The sales growth was once again driven by high customer loyalty and the sustainability of the growth allows us to raise the forecast for total sales 2013 from previously EUR 400 m to at least EUR 415 m. In addition, from today's perspective the progress in cost efficiency in marketing and logistics will ensure a positive operating result (EBT).'
