I worked for Apple for nearly 3 yrs starting in April 09, I was there for the launch of the iPad and Steve's death. I visited the mothership and drank the koolaid. One thing that left a bad taste was being pretty sternly instructed that if you see Steve, which was very likely at the time as he roamed campus like he owned the place, DO NOT TRY TO TALK TO HIM, no eye contact, nothing. It was off-putting.
