Stockholm, October 16, 2013 – Millicom, the leading international telecommunications and media company (Stockholmsbörsen: MIC), announced today that it has successfully completed the issuance of a new US dollar denominated bond. The company successfully completed the issuance of an eight year $800m bond with a fixed coupon of 6.625%. The demand for the bond reached $2.4bn. Millicom intends to use the proceeds to finance its proposed merger transaction in Colombia.
