Northrop Grumman Highlights Innovative Public Safety Solutions at International Association of Chiefs of Police Show

PHILADELPHIA – Oct. 16, 2013 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC ) will present its public safety solutions for first responders next week at the 120 th Annual International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference and Law Enforcement Education and Technology Exposition, Oct. 19 – 23, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Northrop Grumman will be located at booth #849 and will exhibit several demos that showcase its various public safety capabilities. The exhibition hall will open on Oct. 20.

To access the Northrop Grumman IACP 2013 press kit, go to: http://www.northropgrumman.com/Capabilities/P...ssKit.aspx .

"Northrop Grumman's expertise in the public safety arena spans more than 40 years," said Ed Sturms, vice president Civil Solutions, Northrop Grumman Information Systems. "At this year's expo, we will highlight our global computer-aided dispatch systems (CAD), our broad range of secure wireless networks and showcase Andros Titus™, a new robot designed to help first responders tackle their most challenging missions.

"Together, these innovative solutions - built with security and interoperability in mind - are helping first responders keep our cities safe by responding to emergencies more quickly and efficiently," Sturms added.

On display will be demonstrations of mobility solutions that enable interoperability and secure collaboration for first responders. These solutions will be featured in the "FirstNet Nationwide Network: Ensuring Network Integrity" presentation, which will also be on display in the booth. Northrop Grumman's proposed network architecture for the FirstNet Nationwide Network enables public safety agencies to locally control access to applications while benefiting from the security that comes from being part of a nationwide enterprise network.

The booth will also include a demonstration of how Northrop Grumman's Law Enforcement Information Exchange (LInX) solution breaks down jurisdictional and technical barriers to improve data sharing across municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

LInX provides comprehensive, proven and certified U.S. Department of Defense-level security capabilities and features that are capable of addressing sensitive and mission-critical homeland security and law enforcement intelligence needs across jurisdictions. LInX helps find hidden associations and connections within existing law enforcement records sources.

The company will also showcase the Andros Titus TM robot, the newest and smallest member of its Andros TM  line of unmanned ground vehicles (UGV). Northrop Grumman Remotec, the largest provider of robots for first responders, designed the lighter, faster, stronger and more intelligent UGV for a variety of missions, bringing new capabilities to the market for small UGVs.

The company's CommandPoint™ suite of public safety products, which enable communications centers and first responders to efficiently respond to emergency calls and make informed decisions to meet the demands of law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services, will also be featured. The suite of products includes (CAD) systems, records management systems, mobile applications and automated field reporting. Northrop Grumman has implemented public safety applications in seven of the 10 largest cities in the United States, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. The company was selected in July by the London Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) in the United Kingdom to provide its CommandPoint™ application as the core solution for the MPS' new command and control system.

Northrop Grumman is a leading global security company providing innovative systems, products and solutions in unmanned systems, cyber, C4ISR, and logistics and modernization to government and commercial customers worldwide. Please visit www.northropgrumman.com for more information.
