Kratos Receives $2.0 Million Contract for Hyperson

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 14, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: KTOS ), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that its Defense & Rocket Support Services (DRSS) division recently received a $2.0 million research and technology development contract award from the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). This award is under their Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) High Speed Systems Test Science & Technology (HSST S&T) Test Technology Area (TTA).

Through this award, Kratos will develop a transient aero-thermal analysis capability for the evaluation of high-speed vehicle Thermal Protection Systems (TPS). This new capability will enable rapid and accurate thermal modeling of present and envisioned high speed weapons systems.

This project is funded by the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) Test and Evaluation/Science & Technology (T&E/S&T) Program through the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) under Contract No. W900KK-13-C-0061.
