CPIA Announces Appointment of Kanina Blanchard as

TORONTO, Oct. 10, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Carol Hochu, President & CEO of the Canadian Plastics Industry Association (CPIA), is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Kanina Blanchard as Director General, Issues effective Nov. 1, 2013.

Ms. Blanchard brings to CPIA a wealth of private and public sector experience in issues management, strategic business, and change management.  Most recently she worked as District Manager for the Ontario Ministry of Environment (MOE) in London, including a one-year assignment as Acting Regional Director.  Prior to MOE, Blanchard had 20 years' experience at The Dow Chemical Company internationally, including Global Issues Director from 2006-2009.  In her career, Blanchard has successfully lead special projects, strategic issues, public affairs and policy initiatives, making her ideally suited to the role of Director General, Issues.
