Since Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe assumed office in December 2012 and implemented the aggressive economic stimulus policy that has since been dubbed "Abenomics," Japan's NIKKEI Index has risen by roughly 60% while the Japanese yen has depreciated by roughly 25%.
