Alstom U.S. President Amy Ericson to Deliver Keyno

GRAND FORKS, N.D., Oct. 8, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) in Grand Forks, North Dakota, announced today that Amy Ericson, President of Alstom in the United States, will deliver a keynote address during the EERC's upcoming Air Quality IX Conference.

The Air Quality IX Conference will be held October 21–23, 2013, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Virginia. Air Quality IX is the nation's premier international conference on environmental topics associated with energy production.

Ericson was appointed Alstom's U.S. Country President in September 2013 and oversees the company's engagement with U.S. policy stakeholders while directly supporting its pursuit of new business opportunities in the areas of thermal and renewable power generation, rail transit, and electricity transmission and distribution.

Prior to her current position, Ericson served as Vice President of Product Platform Management for Alstom's global gas-fired power generation business. She has over 20 years of experience in the global energy industry, having held previous positions in several of Alstom's power generation businesses, as well as with ABB, DuPont, and ExxonMobil. She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
